I am a passionate filmmaker and I love learning new techniques in film and helping others learn the process of filmmaking while I direct and produce films. I firmly believe in the potential of people. I like seeing people create amazing projects. These experiences have shaped me as a person, and provided me with a positive outlook and hope for the future. Here is a little bit more about myself:

 

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. Since I was a child, I distinguished myself as having a creative, constructive, and above all, very curious mind.  While I lived in Colombia, I met various directors who offered me opportunities to work on their productions. These opportunities opened the doors for me into the film industry. I decided then to travel and learn more about the industry. My curiosity led me to learn about different cultures, helped me see the world differently, and admire the lives of each human being I encountered. This outlook in life is the reason why I always try to convey the diversity of thought through my knowledge of audiovisual media in my work.

 

I had the chance to travel to the U.K., and while I was there, I started to find the career of Cinematography and Television production very appealing. In Italy, I studied Cinematography at Cinecitta'. In Argentina, I learned all about editing. In the United States, I attended Miami International University of Art & Design in Miami, Florida and obtained a Bachelors in Film and Digital. While at school, I met numerous talented filmmakers, and many of them gave me the opportunities to work on many interesting projects. In my time in Miami, I developed a passion for set design.

 

I was always curious to learn the differences in cinema between North America, South America and Europe. I wanted to explore how the cinema works in these different regions, and how the culture influences the cinema. I tried to learn all that I could of the different cinema techniques that each region offers in order to convey all these different cultures together in order to empathize with the audience and not damage the essence of each region in my projects. 

 

 For me, the fun happens throughout the process of completing a project. The development process is a magical time, and feeling that this magic is within my control enables me to create mesmerizing visual experiences. The satisfying part of my job is to identify with the audience, and in doing so, portray my identity in each of the projects.

 

I am very skillful and outgoing. I have achieved many goals and objectives I have set for myself. I enjoy working on teams in a friendly atmosphere with good and open communication. I also enjoy encouraging connections and relationships professionally. I would like to continue working with other filmmakers to create new ideas and bring new works of art to the world.
